Casting is complete for off-Broadway’s Bunnicula: A Rabbit Tale of Musical Mystery, which will play the DR2 Kids Theatre. Featuring a book by Tony nominee Charles Busch, music by Sam Davis and lyrics by Mark Waldrop, Bunnicula will star Abe Goldfarb, Erin Maguire, Ashley Campana, John Garry, Prescott Seymour and Robert Anthony Jones. Performances begin February 9, with an official opening night set for February 10. The production will play a limited engagement through April 14.
Directed by Carl Andress, Bunnicula is the story of the Monroe family, who, one dark and stormy night, bring home an orphaned rabbit with mysterious habits and sharp fangs. Could this new member of the family possibly be a vampire bunny? Bunnicula is based on the children’s book series by Deborah and James Howe.
Goldfarb’s theater credits include Henry V, Hostsage Song, The Threepenny Opera and As You Like It. Maguire has appeared in national tours of Seussical, NEWSical and Forbidden Broadway. Campana appeared in the national tour of High School Musical and off-Broadway in The Awesome ‘80s Prom. Garry appeared in the national tour of Spamalot. His regional credits include Gypsy, Big River, West Side Story and Hair. Seymour’s theater credits include Villians Tonight!, Seussical and Cabaret. Jones’ off-Broadway credits include Dorian Gray, The Wild Party and The Prince and the Pauper.
